TO SAVE FILE FROM V5R18 TO V5R16

DEAR ALL,

I WOULD TO KNOW WHETHER FILE FROM VERSION V5R18 CAN
SAVE TO V5R16.

IF CAN PLEASE TEACH ME HOW TO MAKE IT.

Did you try File, save as.

OK, first, what software are you referring to?  It would probably be best to ask the question in the appropriate forum.
If you are referring to a high-end software such as Catia, I am unaware of any that are backward compatible.  The best solution isn't what you want to hear: export out the file into a neutral format and reimport into the older software version.  You will lose any parametric features, but you should still have something to work with.

Looks like this does belong in the Catia forum. But as I stumbled upon it, here goes. You can find this in Catia, Tools>Utility, there is a function for downward compatibility that you can use to save Catia R18 files back to any version to R6 (so it claims).

Be aware, the result is a "dumb" solid. Perhaps easier than going through STEP though.
